How it works

Encrypt first. Carry anywhere. Take it back whenever.

01

Encrypt on your device

Scan or import a document. It's encrypted with a fresh key before upload — file name and contents alike.

Open it anywhere

Pair a browser with a QR code. Your unlocked phone seals the keys it needs, and you can end the session from your phone at any time.

Your documents, their names and everything inside your vault are encrypted on your device before they leave it. One optional feature sits outside that boundary: the Community Map.

If you opt in, the display name, the city and any photo you choose are stored in plain form so other signed-in Relocat users can see them. A person reviews each photo before anyone else sees it. The app never uses your location, and you can leave the map at any time. The privacy policy's Community Map section has the details.
